In This video I simple cover the basis of what I like to call "Keyboard Shield" Basically to me I feel like  sometimes social media platforms allow people to act out of hand. The reason being is because they understand that people will only see what they want them to see. This is a no no to me I mean think about it, a individual who really has no people skills operate and run his whole music campaign  via internet. This being said he does all his interviews via emails, promotion or what not. Never really comes out and talk to people until it's time to get booked for a show and actually come from behind your keyboard and out your comfort zone. Basically I cover a little ground about that while traveling on a business trip.

The overuse and misuse of the word "Professional"

I'm sure we all have that one friend that thinks they are a professional but in reality they aren't. Today we will discuss The misusing of the word "professional", because I believe it is thrown around to easy. Now it use to be a point in time where if some one said they was a professional, the person they was telling that 2 instantly felt a sense of security with out seeing anything to back it up. Well nowadays since it has been poorly abused when u say you are a professional people aren't really moved by it. Let's think about the word professional. A professional is a member of a  certain profession. The term also describes the standards of education and training that prepare members of the profession with the particular knowledge and skills necessary to perform the role of that profession. Now with that being said certain field require more than talent to be considered a professional. For instance in the audio field you need at least 1,000hrs.There are some people who feel you don't need a degree to "make it" or be a professional. I don't agree with that to much. I believe having some type of degree or certificate in the field you are active in, states that you where held by certain standards and you meet those standards. Let me know what you guys think about this. Do someone need a degree or certificate first in their field of interest before the can say they are a professional? Or is having hands on experience and good clout enough to be call a PROFESSIONAL

More Than Listening 2 Music

For majority of the musicians out there, creating music is all about an artistic vision and being very creative. It’s all about channeling your inspirations into music, and creating songs that everyone can relate to. But while it’s true that the music industry is very much about creativity, there’s also another side of the industry that’s equally important: the business side of a music career. Don't enter the music industry with the idea that a lifetime of music nerd-dom has made you a music biz expert. Not only will you annoy people, but you'll also be dead wrong and miss out on the chance of really learning what makes things tick. If you are first starting out, you will have to determine what element of the music business you want to become involved with. Many are gifted, and have a passion and drive to be on the creative; "talent", performer side of the industry. But, there are numerous opportunities, and people that are more suited to be on the management, administrative, executive and company support side of the industry. A problem I believe most people have is what I call a “Fame Whore” Someone who just wants to be in the spotlight and have all the attention. Doing so u can miss out on what your calling might actually be. What are some of your thoughts about this?

Social Media Good or Bad

Social Media Im pretty sure we all recognize at least 1 of the logo's above. Well let's talk about them a little bit and how they affect the selling, promoting and listening to music now days, while at the same time learning about the history and how things came to be.

So Where did these social networks come from? What's there purpose?  What Has happened to them?
Well first let think about what social networking is? Over the next couple of post we will cover some of these answers and exchange our thoughts about it. so when u say social networking what comes to mind? well for me Social networking is when you reach out and talk to other individuals exchanging information, not necessary being business related. Where these social media platforms come in to play at is that they allow us to expand that reach and meet count less number of people, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to experience lives of others through videos and pictures freely.
So let enter twine music into this ordeal of social media and view the mindset of a individual  not signed and trying to make it. A person who is new to the music game now day have a mindset of "I can just record a song, shoot a quick video and put it online and I will get a deal". Crazy huh? well let look at the Reality of Music promotion for this individual

well that didn't seem to interesting did it. What do u think is wrong here? Why is this the fate of most unsigned artist trying to come up in the industry. Our next discussion we shall cover more of the actually history of the coming up of these social sites and how known record labels make billions each year off of them.
